The St. John Municipal Court is located on the second floor of the St. John Municipal Center, 8944 St. Charles Rock Road. Night court is held twice a month and payment dockets are held once a month during the day on pre-set dates established by Judge Ayers. The court closes at 4 pm on the last workday of each month. Regular business hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
The City of St. John also administers the Village of Sycamore Hills Court as well. This means that all Sycamore Hills municipal court matters are handled through the St. John Municipal Court
Various fines, established by the Judge, may be paid out of court. Payment for fines must be made by cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover), money order or cashier's check. No personal checks are accepted. Business checks are accepted only if the ticket is in the name of the business. Payment can be made in person at the St. John Municipal Court, 8944 St. Charles Rock Road, Second Floor or online at www.stjohntix.com, or for Sycamore Hills at www.sycamorehillstix.com, by phone at 800-701-8560 or 1-877-793-7144, or www.yourstlcourts.com.

- IF the ticket is in the St. John or Sycamore Hills Court, then you can just call the St. John Municipal Court at (314) 427-8700, ext. #6, Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, EXCEPT dates that night court is held. On those dates, the court is open 8 am to 3 pm. The doors reopen at 6:30 pm for night court which starts at 7:30 pm.
- All cashiers' checks and money orders must be made payable to the St. John Municipal Court.
- Final acceptance of all payment methods is subject to the approval of the Court Administrator.
Not all tickets/fines are payable out of court. Many require a court appearance. In order to be sure if a ticket is payable out of court, call the Municipal Court at 314-427-8700, ext. 6, Monday thru Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, EXCEPT on dates that night court is held. On those dates the court is open 8 am to 3 pm. The court doors are opened at 6:30 pm that evening for the 7:30 night court .Please see the list of court dates for night courts.
Children in the Courtroom
It is strongly encouraged that children are not brought into the Courtroom. If children must be in the Courtroom, they must be well-behaved, quiet and must not disturb Court.
