ST. JOHN’S CITY WIDE GARAGE SALES
HAVE BEEN CANCELLED FOR 2020 . . . . . . .
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City Council has decided to cancel this year’s City Wide Garage Sales for safety reasons. St. Louis County still has guidelines in place for the re-opening phase-in period and the City cannot ignore those guidelines. But, once St. Louis County is completely re-opened, and the St. John City Hall has re-opened, you may apply like normal at the City Hall for your individual garage sale permit(s).
We know that many people had already started planning for this year’s city wide sales. Therefore, the Council has decided to add two (2) additional individual sales to the regular three (3) sales already allowed for a total of five (5) sales per household for 2020. Although this is not the same as the city wide sales, it will give people the same five (5) days of sales that they would have had with the city wide sales & their individual sales.
Please remember, you will not be able to hold any sales until after St. Louis County has fully re-opened and the St. John City Hall has re-opened; so no permits will be issued until that time. You will also, however, have to comply with any County or City (St. John) regulations that are still in effect. We would also suggest that you proceed with caution and continue practicing the 6’ social distancing and even the wearing of masks around any groups of people.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the City Hall at (314) 427-8700, #3 on the greeting menu.
