BUYER BEWARE !!!

With the horrendous storm that hit St. John on July 9^th, it’s more than likely non-reputable companies will be out there trying to make a quick buck.  Beware of companies going door-to-door or telephone solicitors offering their services.

If you are approached by a company, keep the following in mind: 

• Get a call back number and/or email address;

•  Ask to see their credentials from the company;

• Get the sales person’s name, the name of their company and the address and phone number of the company;

• By phone, write down the caller ID info.  Does it check out with the company they said they are with?;

• Don’t give them "too" much personal info;

• Have them give you a quote in writing; 

• Don’t pay them in advance; 

• Contact the Better Business Bureau (BBB) at

• 211 N Broadway,  Ste 2060, Saint Louis, MO 63102,
  (314) 645-3300 and inquire about the company;

• And last, but not least, don’t sign anything until you are comfortable with everything !
