A message from St. John Police Chief Connell,
In an effort to maintain safety and security for our residents and their pets, please remember that it is illegal to discharge a bow and arrow in St. John.
Recently, several residents discovered arrows in and on their property. No residents were injured; however, the incident raises a lot of concern.
If individuals have the need to practice archery or with any other devices which propel projectiles, please do so outside of the City limits at locations equipped for the safe usage of these devices.
City of St. John Ordinance: Section 210.150, Subsection ‘C’.
It shall be unlawful for any person to use or discharge any type of…bow and arrow or any other type of gun or instrument which shall propel by spring, cord or air any missile, shaft, arrow or pellet with the corporate limits of the City of St. John.
Thank you.
Chief R. Connell
