Chief Paul Anderson: Leadership and Dedication

Chief Paul Anderson was promoted to Chief of Police on May 1, 2024, after serving as the interim Assistant Chief starting on January 1, 2020. With over 23 years of experience in law enforcement, Chief Anderson has made significant contributions in various capacities, including:

Chief Anderson is a distinguished graduate of several prestigious programs:

  • Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command (Class #541)
  • FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Course
  • Missouri Police Chiefs Command College (Class #10)

Under his leadership, Chief Anderson continues to uphold the values of integrity, community service, and excellence within the St. John Police Department. His extensive background and dedication to professional development have been instrumental in enhancing the department’s effectiveness and fostering strong community relations.

He has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at improving public safety, increasing transparency, and strengthening the relationship between the police department and the citizens it serves. Your personal information will remain confidential and will not be distributed except as required by law or court order. This program is entirely voluntary and you can withdraw consent to view video footage from your camera system at any time by calling the St. John Police Department. If necessary, the St. John Police Department will contact you directly, using the information you provide at the time of registration. Any footage containing or related to criminal activity collected by the St. John Police Department may be used as evidence during any stage of a criminal proceeding and registrants could be subject to court subpoena. Under no circumstances shal the registrants construe that they are acting as an agent and/or employee of the City of St. john or the St. John Police Department.

      Applicant Information

      The St. John Police Department offers vacation check services to its residents and the residents of the communities we contract services for. Complete and submit the form and officers will periodically conduct vacation checks on your residence as time permits. The City of St. John cannot guarantee that this will keep your home from being damaged or broken into, however, it does give added security to the homeowner and neighbors. If you prefer to request a vacation check over the phone or in person, please call (314) 427-8700 or stop in at 8944 St. Charles Rock Rd. during business hours.
