Unity Park is the newest park in St. John is located at the corner of Walton Road and Hume Avenue. This lot sat vacant for years after a house burned down and the lot was cleared. When Rebuilding Together, a non-profit organization that assists residents with repairs necessary to remain in their homes, had a neighborhood rebuild effort in St. John in 2015, and offered to reclaim that lot. So they designed and constructed Unity Park.

This park is designed to be a contemplative spot where residents can sit and enjoy the quiet of a beautifully landscaped space. Bird houses, a water feature, and a little free library add to the charm of the park.

    The information you provide regarding your camera system will be for official use only. Your personal information will remain confidential and will not be distributed except as required by law or court order. This program is entirely voluntary and you can withdraw consent to view video footage from your camera system at any time by calling the St. John Police Department. If necessary, the St. John Police Department will contact you directly, using the information you provide at the time of registration. Any footage containing or related to criminal activity collected by the St. John Police Department may be used as evidence during any stage of a criminal proceeding and registrants could be subject to court subpoena. Under no circumstances shal the registrants construe that they are acting as an agent and/or employee of the City of St. john or the St. John Police Department.

      Applicant Information

      The St. John Police Department offers vacation check services to its residents and the residents of the communities we contract services for. Complete and submit the form and officers will periodically conduct vacation checks on your residence as time permits. The City of St. John cannot guarantee that this will keep your home from being damaged or broken into, however, it does give added security to the homeowner and neighbors. If you prefer to request a vacation check over the phone or in person, please call (314) 427-8700 or stop in at 8944 St. Charles Rock Rd. during business hours.
